In a blog post dated August 27, 2018, Brienne Walsh (Tara Walsh's sister) disclosed that when she was eighteen years old, her sister Tara called Child Protective Services on their parents more than thirty-five times. The result was that the household became "dead" for ten years.

Brienne stated she went on to struggle with "extreme, oftentimes suicidal, depression for the rest of my twenties."

The disclosure was made voluntarily, on a public blog, in the context of discussing a legal threat from Russell's attorneys. Brienne was not trying to build a case against her own family. She was explaining her own mental health history. The incidental nature of the disclosure increases its evidentiary weight.

This is corroborated by Linda Russell's letter to Judge Schauer, in which Linda Russell notes that Walsh told her Tara's attorney had called CPS on the Walsh parents "dozens of times."

The CPS history establishes that the Walsh household was known to child welfare authorities for years before any contact with Russell and before Evie's birth.

Relevance: Phase I Post 4B - Documents pre-existing CPS history in the household where Evie resides
