In April 2018, Russell and Walsh attended a black-tie event. Witnesses observed Walsh making comments about Russell being "crazy" immediately before Russell's face became flushed and he reported feeling strange. The sensation—later identified as consistent with Niacin—was sudden and severe. Russell was taken to the emergency room.

On the way to the hospital, Walsh asked Russell about his symptoms and recorded him on her phone without his knowledge or consent. Under California Penal Code § 632, recording someone without their consent is illegal.

The next day, Walsh emailed the video to Matan Gavish with two words: "Listen. Save." The instruction was evidentiary, not medical. She was preserving documentation of Russell's impaired state—a state she had caused—for future use against him.

This episode illustrates the operational pattern: administer substance, observe effects, document impaired state, preserve documentation for future litigation leverage.
